Tunis/Tunisia — The preparation of a Tunisian-Algerian strategy in tourism cooperation was launched Tuesday, at a remote meeting held between Minister of Tourism, Habib Ammar and his Algerian counterpart, Mohamed Ali Boughazi.

Committees will be formed in order to design cooperation programmes in the tourism and handicraft fields and propose ways to boost these activities in both countries, the Ministry of Tourism said in a statement Tuesday.

“The Tourism Department has set up an action plan to ensure the revival of the tourism sector, under a participative approach with the professionals, the social partner, the ministries and the structures concerned, as well as all the partners,” Ammar said.

He emphasised the willingness to share experiences with Algeria and boost cooperation in fields linked to tourism training, marketing, quality, investment…
